WELCOME
Inspired and co-founded by Premier League and International Footballer, Wilfried Zaha, the WZ Academy aims to inspire, engage and develop as many children as possible in South London, through the love of Football!
With all the enthusiasm, excitement and endeavour Wilfried brings to the pitch, we want children attending the Academy to do exactly the same! We want children to express themselves and play with a smile, whilst learning and developing from our UEFA qualified coaches. No matter your age, gender or ability, we want to give the children of Croydon a fantastic experience every time they attend one of our clubs/sessions.
We’re excited to continue growing, with football camps now running across three locations, Bromley, Thornton Heath and Kenley. Our camps are open to children aged 4-12 and run from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm every day! You can also book 1-on-1 sessions with our expert coaches. About our camps:
The WZ Academy Football Camp is the perfect place for kids to have fun and develop their football skills! Our program is designed to provide an enjoyable and educational experience, with the help of our fantastic coaches. Beyond improving football techniques, our camp also focuses on enhancing children’s social and communication skills through engaging activities.
A Typical Week at WZ ACADEMY:
From Monday to Thursday, mornings are dedicated to free play, themed training sessions, and small-sided games, giving kids the chance to sharpen their skills in a relaxed atmosphere. The afternoons ramp up the excitement with competitions, matches, and skill-based challenges.
On Friday, it’s Tournament Day! Each child will be assigned to a team for a day-long tournament, with medals for the winners and a chance to lift the coveted WZ Academy trophy.

WILFRIED ZAHA 
CAREER STATS
Wilfried – the electrifying forward and Crystal Palace legend. A product of Crystal Palace’s renowned academy, Wilfried progressed through the youth ranks before making his senior debut in 2010. His explosive pace, flair, creativity and ability to change a game quickly established him as one of the most exciting attacking players of his generation.
Predominantly operating as a left winger or forward, Wilfried went on to enjoy a distinguished career in the Premier League and internationally with the Ivory Coast, while also gaining experience abroad with Galatasaray, Lyon and Charlotte FC. His journey from academy prospect to elite professional remains an inspiring example of what can be achieved through talent, dedication and development.

A former team-mate of Wilfried and UEFA Licensed Football coach, Dan has been Academy Manager since WZA launched in 2021. Away from WZA, Dan is a Premier League Academy coach.

Coach Tom has been an integral part of WZA since launching in 2021. An expert with our youngest children, Coach Tom has been integral in the Academy’s growth and will be leading our Saturday morning development sessions.

Bringing the Brazillian flair to WZA! Coach Evellyn has been with WZA since our very first day in 2021. Evellyn is a UEFA Licensed Coach, working with children across South London when not at WZA. Inspiring many girls to get involved, Evellyn is a key part of WZA.

‘5 Guys’ YouTube superstar, Gravs’ joined WZA in our very first summer of 2021. Gravs’ infectious energy and smile make him truly special! Gravlyn is full of enthusiasm and energy and has developed greatly whilst at WZA.
